We are pleased to announce that Aon have enhanced our existing Fitness Kickboxing Canada Trainer Insurance Program with Liability coverage up to $3,000,000 and coverage for training equipment.
Many instructors know how hard
it is the secure independent insurance coverage for Kickboxing, Personal
Training and MMA training. Most insurance companies charge premiums of
over $1,500.00 annually.
Now Fitness Kickboxing certified trainers & instructors can gain the
peace of mind of being fully insured for as little as $250.00
annually, which are very reasonable rates comparable to traditional
personal training coverage prices. New to the program, Aon
now offers coverage for training equipment up to $10,000.
Whether you’re new to the fitness kickboxing industry, or have a great deal of experience even the most skilled trainers can make mistakes.
The most common reasons for litigation against instructors include:
- Injury as a result of overtraining
- Injury as a result of poor training technique and education
- Injury as a result of poor supervision
- Injury as a result of lack of adequate stretching or cool down periods
- Injury as a result of unknown client history
The Aon Fitness Kickboxing Canada Insurance
Program will cover the common causes or hazards that can occur during
the training and result in the potential claims mentioned above.
Did you know that people can also claim for mental damages, stress, or
humiliation? Therefore, this reason it is extremely important that you
have a sufficient level of insurance in place. The Aon Fitness Kickboxing
Canada Insurance Program provides you with the appropriate coverage and
more importantly gives you the peace of mind to carry out and continue
your day to day business operations.
Personal Trainer Claims Example
A Toronto individual who hoped
to get into shape for the New Year, found himself in the hospital only
one week into his training session. This was caused by a personal trainer
who was unaware of the clients’ previous medical condition. The
client had not worked out in years and had recently quit smoking. The
client suffered a myocardial infarction (heart attack) and filed a lawsuit
against the personal trainer in the amount of $1.1 million. The trainer
was found negligent due to the lack of awareness of the clients’
medical condition. The personal trainer was adequately covered for up
to $2,000,000 liability and is still training today.
